EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING

There is an increasing need for programmes that address the high level of emotional stress employees undergo.

While we cannot change the market dynamics that create stress for employees, we can change how they feel about them. When they feel victims, powerless or misunderstood, not only they are stressed but they also lose part of their potential. Employees may enter a negative loop that is detrimental both for them and the organisation.

Why is Leo Institute approach so effective?

Meditation, yoga, and all relaxing techniques are useful and can be of great help. Still, going back to the situation that created the stress, employees discover it didn’t disappear through these activities. To get rid of the stress, it is necessaryto go to the origin of it.

Understanding the mechanisms inside ourselves that create ill-being gives us a lever to stop being a victim of the situation.

Prevention is key

When organisations realise their employees lost their Well-Being, they are on their way to burn out. Well before burn-out there are many stages of emotional and physical ill-being, which often pass unnoticed, even to the employees themselves.

The consequences are very disruptive for the person, for their colleagues, and ultimately for the organisation itself.

Feeling under pressure, being worried, experiencing anxiety or helplessness, feeling lonely or powerless, going back home exhausted, arriving at work already overwhelmed, having little or no energy to perform one’s job: all these signals must be addressed on time so as to avoid inner and material costs.

Emotional Well-Being has been designed to uncover the hidden causes of the loss of Well-Being and to provide the tools to build up emotional resilience, so that employees can maintain their mental, emotional and physical health, and contribute to their environment and position with their full potential.
